We're excited to introduce Entity Search, a new capability in Clarity designed to help you find related incident tickets faster and investigate with greater confidence.
Find Connected Incidents in Seconds
Entity Search allows you to search incident tickets using common security entities such as:
Usernames
Email Addresses
IP Addresses
Devices and hostnames
Domains and other supported entities
Rather than relying on ticket IDs or titles, you can now start with the entity you're investigating and quickly discover related incidents.
Why It Matters
Investigations often begin with a simple question:
"Have we seen this before?" or "I don’t remember the incident ID or the title of the incident. I remember that it was Anna Jones in sales who triggered the alert, so how can I search for memorable data to find what I need?"
Previously, answering that question often required exporting incident data and searching offline. Entity Search brings that workflow directly into Clarity, helping you:
Find relevant incidents faster
Reduce manual searching and spreadsheet-based workarounds
Minimize the risk of missing important context
Keep investigations within Clarity
Improve investigation efficiency and self-service
How It Works
A new Entity Search option is now available under Incidents in the Clarity navigation menu.
With Entity Search, you can:
Enter an entity into the search bar
Use partial matching to broaden your search where supported
View matching incident tickets directly within the results page
Open tickets individually to review details and investigate further
Browse large result sets with infinite scrolling
The search currently returns results from incident data stored within the Entity Search dataset.
What's Included in This Release
This initial release establishes the foundation for enhanced entity-based search capabilities in Clarity and focuses on helping you quickly discover and access related incident tickets. As part of this release, we've also made a small improvement to the Clarity navigation experience. The Settings menu has moved from the top-right corner of the page to the lower-left navigation panel.
This update creates more space for search and investigation activities while bringing Settings alongside the navigation tools you use most often, making it easier to access key actions from a single location.
